Summary: This is the second year I have stayed here. I knew from last year that I wanted to stay in a specific building with a firepit, of which there are 4 , all with ocean view. I reserved my room 3 months in advance for 1 night and called the property to confirm my requested room. They assured me all was well. I called back 2 weeks or so before arriving there to again confirm my choice of room and again was assured all was well. When I checked in they informed me that the type of room in the building of my choice was not available. I was not happy of course, and wanted to know what was going on. I was told that they didn't have any of those rooms in that building available as they were all rented for the entire weekend. Now I understood what happened, I only wanted 1 night so I was bumped out in favor of someone else. Also , conveniently, they said they had no record of my phone calls. I had no choice and had to take the only room available of the type I had asked for. It was on the opposite side of the property with no view of ocean , only garden. They did not offer any compensation, or any reduction of cost. They basically did not care that they had been greedy and disrupted my 1 night vacation and charged me for an ocean view that I did not get. Additionally, the curtains had tears in them and the sliding glass door handle was broken with a sharp lever exposed, on which my daughter cut her hand. I will never stay here again and will let everyone know why.
